Finding Our FLX

Who We Are.

We are a family of four on a journey to turn our 30 acres in the Finger Lakes into a place where people can come to slow down, connect, and create lasting memories. Finding Our FLX is more than just a project—it’s our way of sharing what we’ve discovered: that time is our most precious asset. As we build and grow on this land, we hope to offer others the same gift we’ve found here—space to breathe, explore, and make core memories with the people who matter most.

It’s a small beginning for our young farm, and every visit helps support the growth of something new in the Finger Lakes.

Planting Our 1st Blackberry’s

Planting our blackberries turned into a two-day saga I’ll never forget. Day one was a mud-filled disaster—rain-soaked trails, equipment failures, and clearing the orchard with nothing but a hatchet after the chainsaw quit. But the next morning, I was up at 6 AM to plant, and for the first time the site felt calm. Still messy, still muddy, but finally workable. It was the perfect reminder that farming rarely goes to plan—yet progress still happens one messy, determined step at a time.
