Hideaway Light Guide
Welcome to The Hideaway! We’ve designed the lighting throughout the house to create a warm, inviting ambiance. Here’s a guide to help you make the most of each space's lighting.
Exterior Lighting
Our exterior lights are set to automatically turn on at dusk and turn off at dawn, so you’ll always have adequate lighting around the property in the evenings and early mornings.
Front Deck and Driveway Lighting: Controlled by the switch near the main entrance, these lights provide visibility for the front deck and driveway, useful as you arrive or leave.
Spa and Fire Pit Walkway: The switch by the deck door controls the lighting along the path to the spa and fire pit area, creating a welcoming pathway.
Back Porch and Backyard Lighting: The switch near the back porch door controls the porch lights and backyard exterior lighting, ideal for evening relaxation or gatherings on the porch.
Entryway Hallway Lighting
When you walk in from the main entrance at The Hideaway, you'll find a convenient set of four switches, each controlling different lighting and fan settings to create the perfect ambiance as you settle in.
Entryway Hallway Sconces: This switch illuminates the sconces in the entryway hallway, providing a warm, inviting glow as you enter the home.
Living Room Lights: The switch also controls the main lights in the living room, allowing you to set the right ambiance for relaxation or gatherings.
Living Room Fan: Use this switch to operate the living room fan, offering airflow and comfort throughout the main space.
Dining Room Up Lighting: This switch activates the up lighting in the dining room, adding a soft, indirect light that enhances the dining area’s cozy atmosphere.
Each setting is designed to make it easy for you to create the perfect lighting and comfort for any occasion.
Kitchen Lighting at The Hideaway
Welcome to The Hideaway kitchen! We’ve set up the lighting to provide a mix of ambient and task lighting for your comfort and convenience. Whether you’re preparing a meal, grabbing a late-night snack, or tidying up, the kitchen lighting is easy to access and adjust. Here’s how to control each light:
Kitchen Uplighting: The uplighting is accessible from two switches, providing flexibility for turning it on or off. You can control it from the switch in the entryway hall as you head toward the kitchen or from the switch near the side door entrance, ensuring convenient access from either side.
Over-Sink Light: For focused lighting above the sink, use the switch located directly next to the sink. This task lighting is ideal for washing dishes or preparing food.
Note: If any of the kitchen lights are not working, it’s likely that the GFI outlet next to the sink needs to be reset. Simply press the reset button on the outlet to restore functionality.
