Using the Dishwasher
Loading the Dishwasher:
Bottom Rack:
Place pots, pans, and plates facing downwards. Ensure that large items do not block the spray arms.
Use the tines to separate items and avoid overcrowding, which could impede water flow and detergent access.
Top Rack:
Load cups, glasses, and smaller items here. Angle cups and glasses slightly to prevent water from pooling on the base.
Adjustable tines or racks can accommodate larger items or stemware as needed.
Cutlery Basket:
Place utensils in the cutlery basket with handles down (except for sharp knives, which should have handles up for safety).
Mixing spoons, forks, and knives can prevent them from nesting and improve cleaning.
Pre-treatment:
Thoroughly remove any food particles before loading into the dishwasher.
Adding Detergent and Rinse Aid:
Detergent:
Fill the detergent dispenser with dishwasher detergent, located underneath the kitchen sink.
Use the provided detergent and DO NOT use hand dishwashing liquid.
Selecting a Wash Cycle and Options:
Choose a Wash Cycle:
Select a cycle based on the type of dishes and the degree of soiling. Use more intense cycles for heavily soiled items and eco or light cycles for lightly soiled or delicate items.
Additional Options:
Select any additional options like Extra Dry or Sanitize as needed. These can enhance the cycle by increasing temperature or extending drying time.
Start the Dishwasher:
Close the dishwasher door securely and press the start button. Some models may require you to select the cycle and options before closing the door and starting the cycle.
During the Cycle:
Avoid opening the dishwasher door or bumping into it while it's running, as this can interrupt the cycle and lead to water spillage.
After Use:
Unloading:
Wait a few minutes after the cycle ends for dishes to cool down and dry further.
