Using the Wine Fridge
To use the wine fridge in the upstairs loft lounge at The Hideaway, follow these straightforward steps:
1. Turning On the Wine Fridge: Locate the power button, usually found on the control panel at the top of the fridge. Press it to turn on the fridge.
2. Setting the Temperature: The ideal temperature for storing wine is between 45°F and 65°F, depending on the type of wine. Use the temperature control buttons to set the desired temperature. Reds are best stored near 60°F to 65°F, while whites and sparkling wines are ideal between 45°F and 50°F.
3. Loading the Wine: Open the fridge door and place your wine bottles inside. For optimal storage, position the bottles so that they are lying horizontally. This keeps the cork moist, which is important for long-term storage.
4. Using the Light and Lock Feature: If your wine fridge has an interior light, you can turn it on to view your wine labels more easily. Some models also come with a lock feature to secure your wine collection.
5. Monitoring and Adjusting: Check the temperature periodically to ensure it remains consistent. Adjust if necessary, especially if there are significant changes in the room temperature.
