Pets @ The Hideaway
Pet Policy – The Hideaway
We’re happy to welcome well-behaved dogs at The Hideaway! To ensure a safe, comfortable stay for all guests—two- and four-legged—please review the following guidelines:
Dogs only – We allow up to two well-behaved dogs per reservation. Please let us know in advance if you’re bringing a dog so we can properly prepare for your stay.
Tick awareness – Our home is surrounded by 30 acres of forest, and ticks can be active in the warmer months. We strongly recommend using flea and tick prevention before your visit and checking your dog daily.
Clean-up required – Guests are expected to clean up after their dogs both indoors and outdoors. Please remember to bring your own waste bags, as they are not provided on-site.
Furniture policy – Dogs are not allowed on the furniture or beds. We recommend bringing a familiar dog bed or blanket to keep your pup cozy.
Crating recommended – If you plan to leave your dog unattended at the house, we recommend bringing a crate to help prevent accidents or damage.
Leash guidance – While The Hideaway is on private land, we recommend leashing your dog when outside the immediate deck and fire pit areas for their safety and out of respect for wildlife.
Responsibility for damage – Any excessive damage or additional cleaning caused by pets may result in charges to cover repair or cleaning.
We love hosting dogs and trust our guests to be thoughtful, responsible pet owners. If you have any questions or specific needs for your pet’s stay, just let us know—we’re happy to help!
Dog Essentials at The Hideaway
We’ve made it a little easier to travel with your pup by stocking a few dog-friendly items in the house.
Dog bowls, towels, and foot pal (for muddy paws!) are located in the seated cabinet near the front door. Open the bottom shelf to find everything you need to help keep your dog comfortable and your stay mess-free.
Off the back porch, you’ll also find a secured dog line. This allows your dog a bit of freedom to explore the yard safely without the risk of them wandering too far. It’s a great option while you’re enjoying time on the deck or around the fire pit.
As always, we ask that dogs not be left unattended unless secured and that you clean up after your pet to help keep the property welcoming for everyone. Let us know if you need anything else for your four-legged friend during your stay!
